A number of electronic editions of the Kāngxī Zìdiǎn are available floating around on the internet, most notably the 康熙字典網上版. Here you can download a version formatted for Goldendict and the built-in Mac OSX “Dictionary”. The Goldendict version includes links to the online facsimiles from www.kangxizidian.com (network connection required, of course).

For more information on the Kāngxī Zìdiǎn 康熙字典, you can start at Wikipedia or chinaknowledge.de. A paper by Timothy Billings entitled “Making Friends with the Kangxi Zidian 康熙字典”1 is no longer available at its original site, but can still be read via the Internet Archive.
